Top 5 Teacher Must Haves

We are officially one week into the 2013-2014 school year and I couldn’t be happier!  :)  I can already tell that this year is going to be a GREAT year!  I had the best first week I’ve ever had in my entire five years of teaching and my class of 14 kiddos is a dream come true.  I sure hope it lasts.  :)

Today, I wanted to quickly check in to share with you five things I couldn’t live without as a teacher.  Here they are:

1. Pop-up Post-It Dispenser:  As a teacher, I constantly find myself in need to sticky notes to quickly jot myself a reminder or a to-do list, etc.  This little dispenser comes to my rescue because I can easily just pull off a sticky and go.  I also love that these come in all sorts of shapes and designs these days.  I love how this apple one goes perfectly with the rest of my classroom decor.  ;)

2. File-tastic: Being OCD about organization, I absolutely LOVE these things!  I actually have 4 different ones throughout my classroom.  They are a great way to add extra storage space for things like student take home folders, homework journals, and important teacher files and papers to be copied.

3. 3M Command Hooks: I have these ALL OVER my classroom!  I use them to hang pocket charts, artwork and picture frames on the walls.  The great thing about them is that they come down easily and leave no holes behind.  :)

4. Mr. Sketch Chart Markers: These are probably my absolute favorite chart markers out there.  I love them because they come in so many bright, fun colors and because they are scented.  :)

5. Melissa & Doug Easel Pad: This is my #1 preference for chart paper.  I choose Melissa & Doug’s Easel Pad because it’s the perfect size for classroom charts.  I hate those HUGE, long charts that take up all of your available wall space and that have leftover white space because you didn’t need that much paper to create the chart in the first place.  These ones are just right and I stock up on them from Amazon right before school starts.  :)

Teacher followers, what are your top teacher must haves??  I’d love to hear about them!  Comment below! Hope ya’ll have a wonderful Labor day.  See you soon!
