Patriotic Wreath {and other decor ideas}

I can’t believe the first month of summer has already come and gone!  With the start of July comes all of those fun Fourth of July festivities where families and friends gather together to celebrate this joyous holiday with parades, barbecues, cook-outs, and fireworks.  American flags adorn every house and street corner.  People are decked out in their best patriotic gear of red, white, and blue.

In honor of this American holiday, I decided to spruce up the front porch with a little patriotic spirit.  I’ve had a craft project in mind for a little over a month now and couldn’t wait to get my hands a little dirty.

As you’ve probably figured it out by now, I have a thing for wreaths.  :)  So this project will be no different and entails a festive wreath perfect for the Fourth of July!  Of course I started by searching the web for ideas and was just over the moon in love when I found this tutorial at Fleece Fun.  It is for a grapevine wreath {my favorite} covered in adorable paper pinwheels.  Angel, over at Fleece Fun,  designed all of the pinwheels herself.  Follow the links in the supply list below to be redirected to her blog to download her pinwheel printables.

This wreath is the perfect holiday decoration for the Fourth of July and super easy to make!  I just love it… and once again, it makes me smile every time I walk up to our front door {as I do with all of my wreaths.}  :)  I was glad that I was able to spare a small chunk of my day today to whip it up just in time for July Fourth.  I had a few other projects that I had hoped to complete in addition to this wreath, but I just didn’t have the time this year.  I guess I’ll be one step ahead for next year’s projects!  ;)

Before I leave you, I wanted to share a few other Fourth of July inspired projects that I found on the internet as I searched for the perfect wreath.  They were too cute not to share.
